Rising 6th-8th Graders: This course is designed to accomplish the following goals: 

• Building numerical fluency and algebraic reasoning

• Improving mathematical reasoning 

• Tackling complex, multi-step problems 

• Reducing Frustration, Increasing Confidence

• Increasing Stamina

• Developing a Love of Mathematics

Middle School is terrifying. But, when you add in the massive leap a student has to make from 5th grade to 6th, it can be beyond overwhelming. In fact, it is often the moment when parents see their high-performing middle schooler become an unmotivated and struggling student they almost do not recognize. I have seen this more times than I can count during my career in education. Building on a wide range of experiences and interactions with thousands of students, I have designed this course to land your student in the bliss of self-assurance with a renewed (or maybe newly born) passion for learning. Students will walk away with a more developed ability to think critically, reason deductively, and approach problem-solving logically. Not only will these skills support them throughout their educational career, but also empower them as they journey through life.
